Some cloud formations I have photographed.

Now, I know I am not a meteorologist, but I hope to identify these cloud formations correctly and to contain only real facts.

Cloud formation key:
      Cloud types:
Cirrus
Cumulus
Stratus
Lenticular
Note: I have not gotten any pictures of Lenticular clouds yet.

Quick naming guide:
The prefix "Alto-" is added before the cloud types name if it is higher than normal. (Example: Alto-stratus, Alto-cumulus)
Note: Never use "alto" before Cirrus, though, as they are the highest clouds that are formed.
The prefix "Nimbo-" is added if the cloud is darker/precipitating.
Cirrus

Cumulus

As you can see, the stratus layer of clouds are precipitating, so the prefix "Nimbo-" was added.

Those are some really good cloud photos! I have always really enjoyed studying clouds and weather. (And yes, I think you did a good job correctly identifying them!)

Thanks for keeping us up to date with the progress on the garage, too; it's really coming along!
