Our Chaffe Falls Expedition . . .

We went on the hike about a week ago. I haven't gotten around to posting it until today.
As you will see, we had a lot of fun and a little bit of an adventure.
Enjoy!

A classic Eliana picture.

Waiting . . .

Is this what we came for?!
(No)

Tenth-of-a-mile marker number eight.
(We started at the highest. The falls is at number six)

Panorama view.
(Sorry for the low quality, high quality panoramas take a lot of storage space!)

Standard route and alternate route sign. A thunderstorm was imminent,
so we took the shorter, standard route. (Oh well)

The worst part (very easy) was right here.

A close up of an interesting tree.
(You can see it to the left in the next up pic)

Here it is. This is just the lowest of three levels. I would have taken more pictures, but apparently we disturbed a few Yellow-Jackets. Four of us got stung, so we beat a hasty retreat.

I took this Photo from 25-35 feet away!
(I like my camera!)

Moving on.

David climbing a rock by the trail. (Jessica is on the trail)

Dad and Eliana on the top.

"The Sleepy Rock"
(On the left of it it almost looks like a sleepy face to me)

(Jessica didn't end up climbing it)

Dad and the girls on top.

Loading up.

On the way home we found this across the road . . .
We ended up going a different way home.
