What season IS it?

Over the weekend, the snow started melting, and the temperature rose until Monday with highs of mid seventies, lows of mid forties-fifties.

Tuesday we had a damp drizzle like the ones we get in autumn,

and now on Wednesday we get 3 inches of snow . . .

Only New England weather can bring you all four seasons in as many days.

We are expecting that this is the last snow of the year, and are hoping that it will prolong the unusually short sugaring season and let us get a few more draw-offs before we have to clean everything up and put it away. Still, it was rather surprising to wake up after 70 degree weather a day before, with several inches of snow on the ground. Can't wait until summer . . .
